Arts Jobs Presentation Evaluation

Arts Jobs Presentation Evaluation WHAT WENT WELL: The way the PowerPoint was layed out was interesting and thought about a lot, as it was very different from just having words on a page and there were different text sizes, shapes and fonts. There were lots of pictures on the presentation relevant to what was written which made the PowerPoint more interesting for the audience to listen to. The information itself was detailed and a lot of research had been done so that we knew what we were talking about and were not simply just reading it off a screen for the most part. Some of us spoke more freely so that we were not just reciting words which makes the audience feel more involved as we could take our eyes off the screen and speak to the audience directly. Some of us spoke with enthusiasm and made sure that we were not speaking in a monotone voice, so the presentation was better received by the audience and kept them interested. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN IMPROVED: The worklo

Evaluation of Open Invitation

Evaluation of Open Invitation Effectiveness of my roles I think that I was very effective in the completion of my roles in Open Invitation. One of my roles was to ensure that I knew and was confident with the choreography that I needed to know so that I could give a confident and high-energy performance in all of my pieces. I think I achieved this well as I didn't forget or mess up any steps and I completely knew what I was doing at all times. I also fulfilled my role of making sure that all my costumes were there and ready for me to change into backstage, especially on the first night, as I made sure that everything was ready and waiting so that I could get changed efficiently so I was ready for my next number. This therefore ensured that I was safe on stage and ready and prepared to dance. I also succeeded in ensuring I was always backsta

8/9/17 - Additional Research on Warm Ups, Cool Downs, Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention

Additional Research Warm Ups An effective warm up should: Prepare dancers mentally and physically for a class Reduce the likelihood of injury in class Improve dance performance Increase co-ordination Increase heart rate and blood circulation Increase body temperature Allow the joints to move more freely Improves effective muscle actions Reduce the prevalence of injuries Improves transmission of nerve impulses Warms ups are vital before dancing to decrease the tension in your muscles and joints as well as to prepare the body before jumping into large movements that could otherwise cause injury. This decreases the chance of you having to move with stress or strain as you dance. A warm up increases your body temperature, but not too much, it increases it to its optimum temperature.  Ideally, after a warm up, you should not feel tired, as it should contain simple and low impact movements with no fast changes of direction. The movements should definitely follow the
